Congressional candidates should also contact national NOW PAC and they will send a questionnaire as well and schedule a conversation. They will also need VA NOW’s recommendation before they endorse which is why you need to fill out our VA NOW PAC’s form right now.
The goal of this questionnaire and any ensuing interview is to determine whether the candidate is a feminist, the depth of the candidate’s commitment to NOW’s issues, and whether she/he/they will prove to be a valuable ally in the future. Winnability is important but not essential. NOW endeavors to support valiant challengers who can use their campaigns to identify and mobilize progressive voters in their communities.
